SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes have signed two-time MLSleading goal scorer Chris Wondolowski to a new contract. General manager John Doyle announced the deal on Thursday, saying he wantedto reward Wondolowski for his success. Terms were not disclosed. Wondolowski scored 16 goals last season to tie D.C. United’s Dwayne DeRosario for the league lead. Wondolowski had 18 goals the previous season. WASHINGTON – D.C. United have signed midfielder Marcelo Saragosa, whoreturns to MLS after two seasons in Azerbaijan. The 30-year-old Brazilian will be playing for his fourth MLS club. The 33-year-old Moreno has appeared in matches for teams in Colombia,France, Chile, Mexico and Peru, while also making a number of appearances forthe Colombian national team.
