Suns Win Streak Ends with Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs put an end to the Phoenix Suns five-game winning streak on Sunday. Even with a 41-point and 12-rebound performance from Amare Stoudemire of the Suns, San Antonio beat them 113-110.

NASCAR Champ Johnson Wins in Vegas

On Sunday Jimmie Johnson passed his Hendrick teammate Jeff Gordon with 17 laps to go winning for the second week running at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Four time defending NASCAR champion Johnson now has his 49th career victory with this win in the Sprint Cup Series.

Underdog Spartans Take Down Boilermakers

Purdue lost star Robbie Hummel just last week and they seem to be feeling his loss already. Yesterday the No. 3 ranked team lost 53 – 44 to No. 14 Michigan State producing their lowest point total of the season.

Olympic Hockey Gold for Team Canada

In Canada it will be remembered as the goal. A goal that put an end to one of the great hockey games of all time, as young Canadian star Sidney Crosby put a quick shot between the pads of American goaltender Ryan Miller at 7:40 of overtime to give Canada a 3-2 win and the Olympic gold medal.
