Jordan Taylor is in a class by himself on the Associated Press’ preseason All-America team. The guard from Wisconsin was the only senior on the team Monday. He was joined by four sophomores, including Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger, a unanimous pick of the 65-member national media panel. VANCOUVER – Police on Monday said they’ve recommended charges against 60 individuals for their actions during the June 15 Stanley Cup riot in downtown Vancouver. Police recommended a total of 163 charges. Of the 50 men and 10 women facing charges, the average age is 21. The youngest suspect is a 16-year-old boy. The oldest suspect is a 52-year-old man who is known to police and has a lengthy criminal history of theft, break and enter and sex offences. Tim Tebow will keep his job as Denver Broncos starting quarterback — at least for one more week. ISTANBUL, Turkey – The Woman’s Tennis Association has extended thecontract of CEO Stacey Allaster until 2017. The WTA announced Monday that Allaster, who has been in charge since 2009,was given a five-year extension after an unanimous vote by its board ofdirectors.
