SANDY, Utah – Alvaro Saboria and Fabian Espindola have been a potent 1-2 punch for Real Salt Lake in recent years. Saturday night was no different as they each scored in a 2-0 victory over the Colorado Rapids. Commissioners Looking at Neutral-Site Playoff Semifinals

College football has reportedly taken another step toward a playoff system. And if a report from ESPN on Tuesday is to believed, the folks that run the game have demonstrated once more that, more often than not, they have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. According to the report from college football writer Mark Schlabach, the conference commissioners meeting in Florida this week were inching toward the formal adoption of a four-team playoff to determine the national champion. Theodore Returns to Shutout Devils

SUNRISE, FLA. – On a night that Jose Theodore peeked into his past, the New Jersey Devils suddenly have a real concern about their immediate future. Theodore, back in the Florida Panthers net after he watched Game 4 from the bench, made 30 saves for his second career shutout in the Stanley Cup playoffs. The fourth-ranked Murray broke his Ukrainian opponent three times and saved both break points he faced to reach the third round alongside 2010 champion Fernando Verdasco. CHICAGO (MLB/Silva) – Philip Humber is experiencing a life-changing April. On Saturday in Seattle he tossed the 21st perfect game in major league history, improving to 1-0 with a 0.63 ERA through his first 14 1/3 innings this season.
